Bâlea Waterfall

The picturesque waterfall is located in the Fagaras Mountains, at an altitude of 1,200 m above sea level. It is located between the peaks of Moldoveanu and Negoiu. It is 60 m high and is one of the largest waterfalls in Romania. A rather difficult red hiking trail leads to it, which starts at the Bâlea Cascadă refuge. It usually takes about 50 minutes to complete it.
