Ștefan Tower

The Stefan Tower is the belfry of the former church of st. Stefan Król in Baia Mare. It was built of solid stone in the 15th century. It is 50 meters high and is crowned with a spire surrounded by four smaller towers. Stairs consisting of 165 steps lead to its top. In the past, the surrounding area was observed from it in order to protect the city from fire or other threats, now there is a picturesque viewpoint.
