Sanctuary of Our Lady of Peneda

Marian Shrine in the Peneda Mountains. Established in the eighteenth century in a place where, according to local tradition, the Virgin Mary appeared. Initially, there was only a small hermitage, which in time was rebuilt into a church. A monumental staircase with a sculpture of evangelical virtues leads to it. The church has 20 chapels with scenes from the life of Jesus.
