A coastal island on the Algarve coast. It is 9 km long and 1 km wide. It is a popular summer vacation destination. There are several dozen holiday houses and apartments. There are also bars during the season. The island's shores are sandy and suitable for sunbathing. Beaches on the Atlantic side are especially popular, but even here there is no heavy crowds during the season. The island has a regular ferry connection with Olhao. Water taxis also operate.
