Entecampos roundabout is a small, grassy square in northern Lisbon. Its only building is the monumental monument to the Heroes of Napoleonic Wars on the Pyrenean Peninsula. This is a suggestive representation of Portuguese soldiers expelling the French army and surrounding a free homeland.
The monument was built in 1908. A group of soldiers made of bronze is placed on a stone pedestal. They cast out an eagle symbolizing the reign of Napoleon, and protect the allegorical figure of the Fatherland in the center.
