The Museum of Communication in Lisbon is a modern, interactive museum showing the past and future of communication. There are three permanent exhibitions here. The first shows the history of five centuries of communication in Portugal, the second is the so-called "House of the future", where you can see how, according to the creators, people will communicate in the future. The third exhibition is dedicated to the Portuguese post office.
The Museum has collected devices used to convey information over the centuries. You can learn about the operation of the post office at various times, see a collection of old stamps from Portugal and its colonies, or see what post offices looked like in the past. The exhibition also includes old telephones, telegraphs and other devices used for transmitting messages.
The creators of the exhibition also went to the trouble of predicting what might happen. For this purpose, the exhibition "House of the Future" was prepared, which shows the use of the latest technologies in the communication process.
