Lagoa das Sete Cidades

One of the most important natural attractions of the island of Sao Miguel. These are two lakes connected with each other by a narrow passage that fill a volcanic crater. Around them there are steep, though not very high hills that form its edge. Some of the lakes are left in their natural state, and some have recreational areas.
