An exhibition is located in a historic granary in the manor-park complex. The exhibition presents outstanding merits of Zamoyski family in the area of city development and protection of the unique Tatra nature, and also allows visitors to feel the atmosphere of the 19th-century Zakopane.
One can, among others, trace the history of the Zamoyski family and see the model of the count Władysław's monument. There are splendid photos which depict i.e. Giewont at the time when there was no cross on it, the famous dispute over Morskie Oko or the establishment of a railway station, construction of which was one of the valuable initiatives of count Władysław Zamoyski. The building of the granary, where the exhibition has been organized in 2008, was built around 1895, due to count's commisson. Grains used by the farm in Kuźnice and the School of Women's Home Work, run by general's wife Jadwiga Zamoyska, were stored in granary. In 1889, count Władysław Zamoyski became the owner of the Zakopane estate. He had been showing how to use natural resources wisely and rationally, and made people aware of the need of the natural environment protection.Less
