The facility is located in the historic building of the Polish House, which was built in 1912. The founder and first curator of the museum was Zenon Erdmann (1918-2002). Visitors are offered permanent exhibitions, such as: the knight's castle in Szubin, The History of Szubin and the Szubińska Land, Greater Poland Uprising, History of scouting, World War II, Local material culture, Collecting.
The collection has many valuable exhibits, one should mention, for example, the battle flag of the "Poznań" army commander General Tadeusz Kutrzeba from 1939, antique prints from 200 years ago, the appeal of Stanisław August Poniatowski from 1792, unique correspondence from the times of the Duchy of Warsaw, photographs and numismatic items.
The Museum of the Greater Poland Uprising Remembrance Association, the ZHP Senior Club and the Youth Philatelic Club operate at the museum.
