The Cistercian Museum is located in the monastery of this congregation in Szczyrzyc near Limanowa. Its task is to protect and share monuments of sacred art, history and culture gathered over the centuries in the local monastery. The most important object stored in the Museum is a nineteenth century copy of the medieval world map from Ebstorf, the only copy in Poland.
The museum was founded in 1954, and in 1984 it received the seat of an old monastery granary. Inside, there is a collection of costumes, books and liturgical vessels. The old prints include, among others, the "Psalter of David" from the 18th century or the collection of poetry by Jan Kochanowski. In addition to the typically religious collections, the museum collection also includes a variety of rocks and precious stones and metal ores, as well as a mammoth tooth.
A large part of the exhibition is occupied by arms collections from different eras. Among them are several mace. The exhibition also includes documents and items related to the history of the monastery in Szczyrzyc and the local brewery. Souvenirs of Władysław Orkan, who was a student of the local monastery school, were also displayed.
