Basteja in Stargard is unique on the scale of Pomerania. Currently, its interior has been arranged at the Archaeological and Historical Museum. There are exhibitions on the history of the city from the 13th to the 20th century. In addition to the opportunity to admire interesting museum exhibits, there are also other attractions for visitors. Interesting historical lectures as well as children's birthdays and escape rooms are organized here.
Basteja was built in the 16th century. It was adapted to defend the city using firearms. Shooting holes and weapon storage rooms are located here. After the building lost its importance, it was transformed into apartments. In 1945 it was destroyed, and several dozen years later it was renovated and handed over to the museum. The renovated building impresses with its appearance and has become a showcase of the city.
