The 34-meter Red Sea Tower is one of the tallest buildings in Poland. From its top you can admire the skyline of Stargard and its surroundings.
Interesting is the name of the object itself. Various legends are associated with it. One of them says that the name of the tower was from the bloodshed that took place during the bloody Thirty Years' War. According to the other, the convicts were dropped from the building and there were red stains. But the most likely is the theory of historians who claim that formerly in these areas were rusty marshes.
The building was built in the fourteenth century. Its lower part was built on a square plan, the center is cylindrical, and the top of the building is an octagonal pyramid. On each level there are gaps that were used for observation and firing. The tower has three viewing terraces, two of which are decorated with crenelas.
