Piritz' Gate

Local name: Brama Pyrzycka

The Piritz' Gate is one of the three defensive gates in Stargard which fully preserved to this day. They are entrances to the city and together with towers and outposts are included in defensive walls.

The Piritz' Gate belongs to the Museum of Archaeology and History. Various temporary exhibitions and numerous museum lessons dedicated to this object are organized inside. Apart from workshops and lessons for students, there are also escape rooms.

The gate was built on a square plan. Its lower part was constructed of stone in the 13th century while the upper part was built of brick in the 14th century. Because of warfare and fires, it was renovated many times. The traces of numerous changes in the building's structure can be spotted inside.
