Rzucewo Castle

Local name: Zamek w Rzucewie

The palace is surrounded by a historic park with an area exceeding 7 ha. It was built in the place of earlier court buildings demolished by the Russians. The palace was built in 1840 by the von Below family in the neo-Gothic style. An agricultural school operated here after World War II, and now, since 1996, the luxurious Hotel Jan III Sobieski Castle.

Interestingly, Jan III Sobieski never had the opportunity to stay in this palace, because it was built about 200 years after his death. It is certain, however, that the king often stayed in this area and for several years the court existing here before the castle was owned by Jan III Sobieski.
