Luboń Wielki - 1022 m (peak and PTTK mountain hostel)
Local name: Luboń Wielki - 1022 m n.p.m. (szczyt i schronisko PTTK)
Luboń Wielki is a peak in the Beskid Wyspowy towering majestically above Rabka-Zdrój. It is a popular destination for trips from the spa. Several hiking trails lead to it. There is a tourist hostel on the summit of Luboń Wielki. It is a small, wooden building on a high wooden foundation. There is no electricity here, but there is a real mountain climate. On the southern slopes of the hill there is a large gołoborze, through which the yellow walking trail leads.
Luboń Wielki has a height of 1022 m above sea level. It is a very characteristic mountain, due to the relay on its top and a healthy shape with a clearly visible peak. You can admire it from various points of the Beskid Wyspowy and Gorce.
The very peak of Luboń is forested. A hostel, built in 1931, is listed here. It is a square building with a hip roof and attic. The high foundation makes it look like a fairy-tale witch's house.
The easiest way to reach the peak of Luboń Wielki is from Glistny along the red trail and from Rabka Zaryty along the blue trail. The yellow trail also goes out from the same point, which overcomes the gołoborze along the way and is called Percia Borkowski.
