The church was founded in the early twentieth century in the neo-Gothic style. This sacral building has three towers, of which the highest is 82.5 m (about 2 m more than the tower of St. Mary's Church in Krakow), while the other two are 47 m high. The author of the project was Friedrich Heitmann from Konigsberg.
When visiting the temple, it is worth looking at the main altar, which was given the character of a carved, polychrome cupboard triptych. In this sacred building one can admire a valuable, neo-gothic cup-shaped baptismal font carved in wood and two neo-gothic confessionals from 1915. Particularly noteworthy are the numerous stained-glass windows, which in 1903 were made by Robert Siebert from Konigsberg. In the church equipment there are also movable monuments, which include side altars and a neo-Gothic pulpit depicting various scenes from the life of Jesus. The oldest monument of Olsztyn is located on the church square - dating from 1737, the figure of Christ holding the globe. The monument commemorates the plague epidemic, which in the 18th century decimated the population of the city.Less
