The Stefan Żeromski Museum in Nałęczów is based in the writer's former workshop. The exhibition is the authentic equipment of the room in which he once created. Here we will see portraits of Stefan Żeromski and his son Adam painted by famous artists as well as memorabilia and personal belongings of the writer.
Inside the one-room cottage there are original furniture, including a sofa, chairs, armchairs, a desk and a bed behind the screen. The decor is enriched by Żeromski's personal belongings, such as notebooks, textbooks, travel sketches, skis of his son Adam, and a library with books belonging to the artist.
The cottage was the writer's summer home. It was designed in the Zakopane style at the beginning of the last century by Jan Koszczyc-Witkiewicz. It is a small wooden house with a charming front porch. It was here that the author completed "History of Sin" and also wrote "Pride of the Hetman", "Word of the Bandos", or "Rose". Behind the museum is the mausoleum of Adam Żeromski, son of Octavia and Stefan.
