Puppet and Actor Theatre

The Puppet and Actor Theatre is located in the building of the former fire station. The facility organizes performances mostly for youth and adolescents but there's something for everybody. The theatre also operates as an educational institution, takes part in national and foreign festivals, and is the organizer of International Theatre Festival Walizka.

The theater is characterized by various forms of plays such as plastic theater, poetic shows, or family and entertainment performances. It uses different types of dolls like puppets, hand puppets, javaneses, and marionettes. Apart from dolls, there are also alive artists, often wearing colorful masks and gorgeous costumes.

The facility emphasizes theatre education of young people. Actors meet with youth and adolescents after performances and teach them how to use body language, show emotions, and improve their diction and voice. An additional attraction is the presentation of the backstage including plastic workshop and meetings with artists.
