Full name is 9. Battery of Fixed Artillery in Lędów near Ustka. Construction of the BAS began in 1948. The fortification system was supposed to withstand a direct nuclear impact. For decades, the existence and destiny of this place was a carefully guarded military mystery. In the 1970s, the military lost its military significance. Since 2014 it is officially open to tourists.
The care of the bunkers of the former BAS is managed by the Association of Fortification Fans. On his initiative a tourist path was created. On the map of the trail marked about 30 points (mostly preserved elements of the fortification). You can choose to explore yourself or take advantage of the guide service.
On the route of the tour there are, among others. four units. These are reinforced concrete platforms, where in the times of operation BAS was mounted a powerful Soviet cannon B-13 3B "Stalin", 130 mm caliber with a range of up to 25 km. One of the architecturally interesting buildings are two massive towers. At the top of the tower was a rotating steel dome. It has a lot of sloping surfaces, the task of which is to bounce off the enemy's sharp bullets.
