This is the only botanical garden collecting woody plants in north-eastern Poland. It was divided into three sections. Department of Polish flora covering native trees and shrubs; the collection part of over 700 species of plants of foreign origin and a natural forest that is a fragment of the age-old forest. There are trees with the status of natural monuments.
The forest park covers an area of over 15 ha. It is crossed by walking paths for visitors, with benches and gazebos, as well as didactic boards.
In 2011, the Geological Lapidarium was established in the arboretum. It is a collection of erratic stones and boulders from the region. There is also an Educational Chamber in the park. You can get to know the nature corner showing the flora and fauna of Kudyp forests. In the remaining parts, historical exhibits regarding foresters' work and geological collections were exhibited.
