The small octagonal church of St. Nicholas. Gertrude is a real jewel of medieval religious architecture. Made of red brick and eight-covered roof of a star-shaped building with a 1383 years like the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. The primary purpose of the structure was a function of the hospital chapel, later the cemetery, and since 1534 the chapel was the property of the Evangelical Church. A break in their duties sacred object was a period of 1735 years to the beginning of the twentieth century. At that time, the building was a garrison composed of ammunition. After the liquidation of the chapel restored to its original functions, which exercised until the end of World War II in 1945. In times of war the building housed warehouses and Small Stage BTD and for a short time - a bookshop. The Church ultimately object returned in 1999, and a year later the chapel was given the rank of the church. Currently it held its regular service.
