Museum of Aleksander Kłosiński documents the history of one of the oldest cities in Lesser Poland, which is Kęty. Most of the exhibits gathered here come from the inhabitants of Kęty, while the basis for establishing the museum was the collection of Aleksander Kłosiński. The museum includes historical, ethnographic, artistic and bourgeois departments. The most valuable exhibits include guild chests and souvenirs related to the stay in Józef Piłsudski's Legion Kęty.
The Museum collections are exhibited in a historic tenement house at the Market Square. It was created to celebrate the 700th anniversary of Kęty. The core of the exhibition are collections of historical souvenirs of Aleksander Kłosiński. Later, the collection was enriched with exhibits provided by residents. These are both photos and everyday objects, documents and home souvenirs.
Thanks to these donations, we managed to create an exhibition that shows the life of various social strata of Kęty. The collection of guild souvenirs is valuable. We also managed to reconstruct a bourgeois salon from the 19th century.
