Małachowski Gorge
Local name: Wąwóz Małachowskiego
The loess ravine is named after Count Małachowski, the commanding battalion of the Sandomierski Riflemen, who in 1831 defended Kazimierz Dolny against Russian troops. A plaque on the edge of the gorge commemorates these events and the count's death.
