On the E. Jancarz Stadium one can experience the emotions associated with speedway races. The host of the stadium is the club Stal Gorzów Wielkopolski. International competitions, including Grand Prix and Team World Championships, are held in the venue.
Gorzów stadium is the effect of the initiative of the club mechanic Ciesielski, who in the early 1950s contributed to the design of the object and its implementation in social action by the residents of Gorzów. The opening of the facility took place in 1951, and the initiation was the Steel Shoe tournament (Stalowy But). For over half of a century, the stadium has been modernized many times, thanks to which today it presents a high class in the group of this type of buildings.Currently, the stadium has electric lighting, a roofed, multi-storey stands and over 15,000 seats and about 2,000 standing places. In the history of stadium the Team Championship of Poland and many significant events of world rank took place seven times. Since 1992, the memorial of Edward Jancarz has been held at the stadium.Less
