ORP Błyskawica ship, belonging to the Museum of The Polish Navy in Gdynia, is one of the floating museums which can be visited during a trip to the Baltic. This huge Polish destroyer served the Navy for almost 40 years. Nowadays, the ship is a monument and the museum which consists not only of the parts of the ship but also the exhibition presenting its history.
Błyskawica anchored in the harbor as a museum in 1975. Since that time, the ship had been adapted for tours - some parts had been modernized and the exhibits had been gradually prepared.Tourists visiting ORP Błyskawica can view its artillery and torpedo weapons, anchoring equipment, engine room, stern radio station, non-commissioned officer rooms and also the exhibition.Less
