A visit in the Museum of the City of Gdynia is a history lesson concerning primarily the period of the Second Polish Republic (1918-1945). The exhibitions include photographs, postcards and negatives showing the city, documents belonging to its residents, everyday objects, and others.
A separate exhibition contains memorabilia related to the life of important people connected with the city. In the museum a library with a collection of over 11,000 volumes is located as well.The Museum of the City of Gdynia is situated just by the coast in the central part of the city.
