Not without reason Chełmno prides itself as the City of Lovers, because in this parish church on a special altar there is a relic associated with St. Valentine. Since 2002 it has been publicly displayed and is becoming an annual pilgrimage site of lovers.
Being in the city, you can take a walk through the special Route of the Lovers, and on 14 February take part in the solemn Celebrations of St. Valentine, during which there are many competitions, happenings, parades of knights, motorcyclists and cocks. On the Market Square there is a traditional Valentine's concert. You can also try biscuits with lemon and other heart-shaped pastries.
Thanks to Valentine's Day Chełmno the city has gained the nickname of the City of Love, and at the same time also presents guests with its magnificent medieval monuments.
