Chęciny Royal Castle is located on the hill and is clearly visible from the road Kielce-Cracow. It's one of the most important monuments of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. The fortress is made of white stone and consists of three towers. It attracts the attention of everyone who travels around these areas. Exploration of the castle is a journey to the past which can be made during the day as well as at night.

Chęciny Royal Castle was built in the 13th century. It was a royal property which glory days were during the times of Casimir the Great. It was on his order that the walls and towers were made taller. Thanks to those changes, the stronghold was not taken for almost 250 years. The state prison operated in the castle. Royal wifes resided here such as, among others, Elizabeth of Poland, wives of Władysław II Jagiełło, Sophia Holsztyńska, and wife of Sigismund I the Old - Bona Sforza. The fall of the castle was caused by numerous wars in the 17th century. Renovations and archaeological research are carried out here since the 19th century.

Chęciny Royal Castle is located on the hill and has an irregular, oblong shape with three towers towering over the walls. It consists of the lower and upper castle. The courtyard and walls are available for sightseeing. Numerous outdoor events, including tournaments and night walks with torches are organized during the tourist season.
