Founded in 2003 in Bytom, the Upper Silesian Narrow Gauge Association associates railroad hubs. He is also responsible for handling the Upper Silesian Narrow Gauge Railway, including the oldest continuously operating narrow gauge railway in the world.
The task of the Association is to maintain the railway infrastructure in good condition. They also organize summer planned tourist trains and special trains, among others. to the historic Silver Mine in the Tarnowskie Góry.
The Upper Silesian Narrow Gauge Railway is one of the forty-two facilities of the Technological Monuments Route. It is a thematic tourist and cultural route that represents the most important and interesting tourist, historical and architectural objects of industrial character in Silesia. It also includes museums, workers' colonies and workplaces.
