Despite its name, the building at ul. Mint 7 on Mill Island is not a former residential house of the artist, but a place for the presentation of his work and life story. Developed based on the collections of the museum exhibition includes both the works of the painter, as well as everyday objects and from the workshop of the painter, having the character of historical and related era. Apart from the life and work of Leon Wyczółkowski through exposure you can get to know the characteristic trends in Polish painting and climate artistic environment the turn of the century. The exhibits are presented in chronological and thematic. Neo-romantic building, which is presented collection was built between 1899-1902 for the purpose of housing for members of the Board Mills Rother. Residential functions he held until 1975, when it passed under the administration and later the property of the Regional Museum in Bydgoszcz.
