The Museum of Reconstruction

In this local museum you can learn about the tragic history of the region. Hammerfest shared the fate of other North Norwegian towns - during the withdrawal of the German occupier in the final phase of World War II, it was razed to the ground. After the war, a painstaking reconstruction process began. The exhibition tells many moving stories of residents.
