Samuel's Fortress

Local name: Самоилова тврдина

The history of this powerful fortress dates back to the 4th century BC. It was probably built by King Philip of Macedon. In 2003, the fortress was thoroughly restored, and the defensive walls were rebuilt, which have not survived to modern times.
