Ohrid Lake

The lake lies on the border of Albania and Macedonia. In the longest place, it is 30 km long and its average depth is 164 m. The reservoir has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. On its banks there are numerous monuments, including the medieval fortress of Tsar Samuel. The lake was also considered a refuge for water birds.
