Mini Mundi
Local name: Mini Mundi
Mini Mundi is a family theme park in Middelburg. Its biggest attraction is the Walcheren miniature park with models of cities and landscapes from the Walcheren Peninsula. All models are built in 1:20 scale. The current version of the park features models from 18 different cities, including many well-known buildings from Middelburg and Vlissingen.
Interestingly, the miniature park existed before the opening of Mini Mundi. It was opened in 1954 by Queen Juliana. Initially, all the miniatures were made of wood. However, it was very demanding in terms of maintenance, so in the 80s the thumbnails were replaced with plastic versions.
Mini Mundi was opened on May 15, 2009. It is part of Zep Leisure Park Middelburg. In addition to the already mentioned miniature park, you can also find an amusement park with a small roller coaster, roundabouts, a carousel with a hot air balloon and many other attractions. There are also playgrounds and a covered Mega Mundi pavilion for children.
