Blue Hole
Local name: Ghar iż-Żerqa
Blue Hole San Lawarenz is one of the most famous and most valued diving sites. The natural, small pool area is about 35 meters deep (up to 45 m in places). Thanks to the interesting bottom shape (many levels, numerous boulders and caves), it is valued by both experienced and beginner divers. There are also excellent conditions for swimming and snorkeling.
The Blue Hole is an extremely picturesque place, but it is intended for physically fit people - the pool pond is hiked on jagged rocks, narrow and steep paths. In the immediate vicinity of Blue Hole was the famous Azure Window - a rock bridge, which was a great attraction for practicing extreme jumps into the water. The bridge collapsed during a storm in 2017.
The third attraction of this place is Inland Sea - a small, shallow bay, separated from the open sea by a rock massif, in which there is a natural, narrow clearance.
