One of the most beautiful Lithuanian mounds is located on the Nemunas - in a place historically associated with the Piestve Castle, mentioned for the first time in 1293. However, more often the mound is associated with the legendary burial of the Roman prince Palemonas and thus also gained the second name - Mount Palemonas.
