House of the Brotherhood of Blackheads

One of the most famous tenement houses in Riga. The merchant house of the Brotherhood of Blackheads impresses with its decorated facade and attracts the eyes of those passing through the square. The building was almost completely destroyed during World War II and was not reconstructed until the end of the 20th century.

In the blinds on the façade, the figures of the god of the seas Neptune and the god of commerce Mercury as well as allegories of Concord and Peace are placed. The interiors are used to organize cultural events, balls, cultural events and various public and private celebrations.
