Pier Audace

The pier in the city center was created after the sinking of the San Carlo ship in 1740. Instead of removing the wreck, it was decided to use it as the basis for building a new bridge, which was finally built in the years 1743-1751. Over the years, the pier has lost its value and is now mainly a place for walks and occasional mooring of boats.
