Treviso Cathedral

Local name: Cattedrale di Treviso

The church dates back to the 6th century and stands in an area where there was a temple, theater and baths during the ancient Roman period. In the 11th-12th centuries, the church was rebuilt in the Romanesque style. In 1768 it was demolished and rebuilt in the neoclassical style, only the crypt of the previous building remained. The present façade dates from 1836.
