The seaside stronghold is one of the most interesting Swabian castles that Frederick II built in southern Italy. The castle is known as the place where Manfred, son of Frederick II, married Princess Elena d'Epiro. Today, many events take place in the castle, such as the reconstruction of Manfred's wedding.
