The national archaeological museum is located on the site of an archaeological site that was discovered in 1957. The seat of the gallery is Villa di Tiberio, a former Roman residence that belonged to the Emperor Tiberius in the 1st century AD. The main finds include the cave, Tiberius Cave Sculptures, and the remains of the barracks.
