Siena Cathedral

The Gothic cathedral was built in the years 1215-1264. In 1339, the reconstruction of the temple began according to a new plan. Were it not for the plague epidemic of 1348, the largest church in the world would be created. The cathedral walls house the Museo dell'Opera Metropolitana, and the facade has a viewing terrace.
