San Teodoro is one of the largest and most popular holiday resorts in Sardinia. The town has access to sandy beaches and an extensive accommodation base. It also has a rich nightlife and many restaurants, bars and cafes.
The city is surrounded by beautiful countryside. There are spectacular rocky mountains reaching almost 1000 m above sea level, backwaters where you can meet, among others, flamingos and picturesque bays with beaches covered with golden sand. In addition to sunbathing, you can walk, go on a hiking trip and watch the birds living by the lakes and in the swamps.
San Teodoro's biggest attraction is its beaches. The sea here is quite shallow by the shore, which makes it perfect for a holiday with children. Nikeótre beaches like the Impostu Beach are very well developed and have beach equipment rentals. The situation is similar on the La Cinta beach, which is close to the hotels. Others, such as Suledda Beach or Cala Brandinchi, give you the opportunity to relax both with your own equipment and to rent deckchairs.
In addition to sunbathing in San Teodoro, you can also go snorkeling or rent a motorboat and go on a cruise along the coast. A popular excursion destination is the Isola Tavolara, a limestone mountain that rises straight out of the sea and is provided with boat trips from the tourist port of Porto San Paolo.
