Cathedral Square is the historical center of Pistoia and to this day a place where fairs take place twice a week, and occasionally concerts, performances and outdoor events. Around the square there are buildings mainly from the 13th and 14th centuries.
The most impressive is the cathedral with a high four-sided bell tower. In its vicinity stands a polygonal baptistery with walls lined with stripes of white and green marble. The image of the square is complemented by gothic palaces that once belonged to bishops and local dignitaries.Less
