The Messner Mountain Museum is a facility created by one of history's greatest climbers, Reinhold Messner, in the summit dome of South Tyrol's Kronplatz massif. Designed by Zaha Hadid, the ultra-modern, partially hidden underground building offers not only great views of the Alps and Dolomites, but also exhibitions dedicated to the traditional mountaineering that shaped Messner and which the climber was heavily influenced in the second half of the 20th century.
