The cathedral was built in the middle of the 12th century in the Romanesque style, with a three-nave body with a basilica layout. The interior hides fragments of Gothic and late Romanesque frescoes depicting, among others, the scene of the Last Judgment or the Assumption of the Mother of God. Under the cathedral there are crypts, which are the oldest part of the building.
