Devil's Bridge
Local name: Ponte del Diavolo
Built in 1378, a stone bridge over the river Stura, which connected Lanzo with Turin. According to legend, every attempt to build it ended in failure, and finally the inhabitants entered into a deal with the devil, under which he was to allow the completion of the works in exchange for the soul of the first one to cross the bridge. When the bridge was built first, the dog was chased away, and the chapel of St. Roch, who is still standing here today.
