Basilica of Santa Trinita

Construction of the basilica began in the mid-thirteenth century on the ruins of an ancient church. The basilica has elements of the Gothic, Mannerist and Renaissance style. Inside you can see shrines decorated with works of art funded by private sponsors, including Cappella Sasseti.
