Cathedral of San Maria Maggiore

The construction of the cathedral began with the erection of the building around 1185. After centuries of decay, the church was completely restored in the 18th century and the interior was renovated in a baroque style. Outside, you can admire a plaque that commemorates the visit of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart on July 17, 1770, who played the cathedral organ that day.
