The hill rises to a height of 519 m above sea level. At the top there is a Benedictine abbey built in 529, bombed in 1944 and rebuilt after World War II. During the battles of the Allied and German armies, the Second Polish Army Corps, under the command of General Władysław Anders, conquered a strategically located hill.
